The person who finishes it.
Core Nova builds workflow automation that stays running, and audits the AI businesses are already using. The same company operates Cyber Node, the cybersecurity practice. Same operator, same governance discipline, different focus.
Who runs Core Nova
Matt Breuillac, director. Chemical and process engineer. Nineteen years since 2007, fourteen of them delivering industrial projects where nearly finished was worth nothing: a US$12 billion floating LNG facility, live nuclear and chemical facilities signed off in front of national regulators, a specialty chemicals plant commissioned as the client's representative, a US$1.2 billion lithium refinery. He has also been building his own workflow automation since 2007, through four generations of tooling. AI is the fourth. He founded the security practice in September 2023 and the AI practice in 2026.
Senior practitioners only. Core Nova does not staff engagements with juniors learning on the buyer's environment.
Why Core Nova exists
Australia has among the highest AI adoption rates in the world and more than a decade of weak productivity growth, with hours worked rising faster than output (Morgan Stanley, Future of Work Downunder, reported in Business News, 11 August 2026). Both things are true at once, which means the adoption is not converting. Most businesses here have tried something. Some started and stopped, a Copilot rollout that did not pay back. The ones that shipped something often did it once and have no idea whether it is still running.
Core Nova exists to be the senior practitioner you can hire for four days, get a working improvement, and decide whether you want more.
Where we work
Perth-headquartered. We deliver remotely across Australia, with on-site days where a buyer prefers in-person interviews during an AI IP Audit or workflow scoping.
The sister brand
Cyber Node is the cybersecurity practice, manual penetration testing, vCISO, OT/ICS security, and the Cyber Exposure Snapshot. Same parent company (Core Nova Pty Ltd, ABN 71 665 581 162). Same operator. Where Cyber Node tests the cyber surface, Core Nova builds the workflow agents and audits the AI IP exposure on top of it.
The cross-link is real and intentional. Industrial and OT buyers route through Cyber Node OT/ICS; Core Nova works the AI surface for SMEs across sectors. Matt's chemical-engineering background inside world-scale facilities is where both the finishing discipline and the audit discipline came from. It is not a standalone industrial practice. AI security buyers often start at Core Nova and stay close to Cyber Node for the underlying cyber posture.
What we will not do
- We will not write AI strategy decks.
- We will not run engagements off a junior consultant's calendar.
- We will not publish numbers we cannot back with consented client case studies.
- We will not pretend AI is one decision your business has to get right. It is a dozen small workflow decisions.
